The lessons are designed for children to actively participate in their own learning through meaningful and purposeful play. Children shall build their knowledge through hands-on experimentation, exploration and discovery, applying their learning to real-life applications of Robots & Coding in their environment.

Wow! ARTec Robotics & Coding + ART STEAM Program

Children's natural curiosity is fostered in this curriculum that combines the learning of Robotics and Coding with Art through engaging, hands-on activities that build digital competencies and boost creative confidence.

The course includes numerous activities for hands-on experimentation and exploration, allowing children to learn and grow through play. Children will participate in Build and Code activities designed to spark their interest in early Science and Engineering while also helping them develop their digital skills. In addition, they will use their imagination and experiment with a variety of materials and techniques to create works of art.

Robotics is a fun way to engage children in learning about early science, engineering and maths and get an understanding od how these subjects are linked together.

Coding Your Robots

Programming your robots to carry out tasks and experimenting with it, makes the learning of coding enjoyable and entertaining. At the same time, it develops logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.

Programs:

Program Name: ARTec Early Years Robotics and Coding STEM Program

Description: This integrated curricula of Science, Engineering, Numeracy and Technology nurtures early years children's cognitive abilities to think critically and inventively, develop resilience in problem solving and at the same time promote their digital competencies. 

Children shall build motorized and mechanical Robots, learning simple Science and Engineering principles through the discovery of the workings of motors, levers, linkages, pulleys and gears.

For the Coding lessons, children shall build their Robots and learn to design and write “simple to complex” codes and to understand different forms of inputs and outputs. In this program, they shall learn to code movements, lights and sounds, touch sensors, button controls and IR Photo Reflectors for the Robots to carry out tasks and accomplish different missions.

Children shall also engage in puzzle play, learning to recognize relationships and patterns and developing spatial intelligence (i.e. direction, position, balance) through the 12 genre of puzzle games.

The course offers lots of opportunities for hands-on experimentation and exploration, allowing children to learn and build their knowledge through play.

The virtual 3D gamification of ARTec robots with embedded Physics engine that ensures realistic visualisation of codes.

This Home Learning Extensions are available to all students enrolled in the ARTec Innovator Academy.

What We Offer

ArtecRobo was developed for children who have no prior experience with programming and robotics.

The curricula help to cover the following specific goals:

Understanding what an “algorithm” is

To understand how to design and write simple programs to accomplish specific goals and to work on simple forms of inputs and outputs.

Understanding selections in programs such as IF and IF-ELSE statements, Boolean logic and variables in programs.

National Robotics Competition

Since 1999, Science Centre Singapore has been organizing The National Robotics Competition (NRC) with support from the Ministry of Education, various partners and sponsors. To date, the competition has attracted more than 60,000 participants and 240,000 supporters.

The ARTec Robots is selected in the Preschool category in the NRC 2023 edition.

National Robotics Challenge

Directed by an independent committee, the UniversalRobotics Challenge is a more traditional programmable robotics tournament. The objective of the URC is to inspire children's interest in the field of robotics technology as they acquire new problem-solving skills through teamwork.

ARTec Innovator Academy Robot Coding School Levels 1 to 8

The ARTec Innovator Academy Robot Coding program is an award-winning program, voted by parents and teachers to be the top coding program for children 8 years old and above in Japan. The program is used in more than 40 countries worldwide, supported and acknowledged by education ministries in France, Hungary, Korea, Australia and adopted in national school Robotics and Coding curricula in Japan, Mexico and several other countries.

The lessons are designed to be progressive learning for students. Mastery Course

Adds an additional 18 months' worth of advanced robotics challenges. Focusing on the three major robotics engineering fields of sensing, software and mechanics, this curriculum offers a well-rounded education in STEAM. The Mastery Course is highly recommended for kids interested in a career in science and engineering.

The New ARTec Robo 2.0 AI Program utilizes the foremost standards and requirements of school AI curricula in Japan, United Kingdom and other developed countries to benchmark the learning outcomes of the program.

The curricula sets up student’s understanding of the essentials on how Artificial intelligence today is used in modern machinery through the practice of programming and robotics. Concepts such as sequences, conditionals, and loops listed in the standards and requirements are explained in details for students to better understand the concept and understand its necessity for usage in programming.

This program is designed for students who are new to programming and robotics. The level covers the basics of programming concepts, such as sequences, loops, and conditionals, and the fundamentals of robotics. 

Intermediate Course

This program covers advanced topics such as machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. Students will learn to build and program complex robots, and apply AI concepts to solve real-world problems.

Advanced Course

This program delves into complex subjects like deep learning, neural networks, and advanced AI algorithms. Through this program, students can develop the skills required to build and program sophisticated robots capable of performing intricate tasks.

Introductory Level Intermediate Level Advanced Level

Chapter 1

Learn how to integrate AI technology into programming using Google's Teachable Machine. This chapter focuses on introducing how to use image and voice recognition on Teachable Machine

Chapter 2

Make a Smart Light that detects your voice and turns on he light. In this chapter, students will learn how to integrate voice recognition with programming and robotics.

Chapter 5

Make a Smart Car where the car detects signals and signs. The car will act according to the detected signal and signs. Later in the chapter, students will control the Smar Car with voice recognition.

Chapter 3

Build a Face Recognition Gate where the gate opens when it detects the face of a person registered. Students will learn how to integrate image recognition with programming and robotics.

Chapter 6

Make a Rock, Paper, and Scissors Robot and play the game against the robot! Students will learn how to program a robot that will use randomness to pick from rock, paper, and scissors.

Chapter 4

Build a Garbage Segregation Robot where the robot will segregate the garbage to the designated bin accordingly. Students will learn more advanced programming with image recognition.

Chapter 7

Create your own Pet Robot with programs you want your pet to do! This chapter focuses on incorporating all the skills and knowledge gained over the chapters to create original and unique programs for student's pet robots.

Program Name: ARTec Robo 2.0 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Program

Description: The ARTec Robo 2.0 AI Program incorporates the most recent national school coding curricula standards and requirements in Japan and United Kingdom. The program focuses on the learning and understanding of the use of Artificial Intelligence in modern machinery through the applications of Coding and Robotics. These lessons develops coding concepts such as sequences, conditionals and loops and apply these to real life examples that incorporates AI technology.

Learn to integrate AI technology into programming using Google’s Teachable Machine. Develop robotic applications that uses voice and image recognition and learn advance programming to build and program simple interactive robots.

Description : Learn coding basics and the fundamentals of Python syntax and object-oriented programming. Code sensors and LED displays to make simple games, robots and instruments.

Advance to build more complex Python syntax and learn new, high level coding concepts and apply them to build videos games, simultaneous use of multiple sensors and motors and parallel processing.
